The Training Station - Gym and Services

With a 360-degree view of the skyline, in the heart of Northern Liberties, The Training Station is Philadelphia’s first fitness center built and operated to offer world-class equipment to its members. Whether you are new to the gym scene, a professional, or somewhere in the middle, The Training Station will make sure you're mastering your work-out regime. 

 

We offer personal training, written workouts, deep muscle stimulation, meal plans with grocery lists, the cleanest gym around, and some of the best aerobic and strength exercise equipment. Built into the gym, is RUN, a comprehensive gait analysis via high-definition camera and sneaker fitting that has yet to be rivaled. Oh, there's free parking too.

The Training Station
           TOP OF THE LINE EQUIPTMENT

Our equipment will make your workout harder -- but it won't beat up your body. Our main workout floor holds the most advanced models of cardio and strength exercise equipment. From Cybex Eagle Series selectorized machines to Star Trac E-TRxe Treadmills (attenuates the shock at landing), we take pride in our equipment. We only buy the top-of-the-line machines and weights from the top-of-the line companies. Just ask Phil!

           PERSONAL TRAINING AND COACHING

The Training Station is, by nature, a personal environment. If you join and don't show, you might get a call from Phil Clark. Phil, the pro coach, will teach you how to exercise. He's always happy to help. If members need to know more about fitness equipment and gear, working out, or what they should be eating, Phil is ready to help them find the answers -- but you might want to reserve his time. He'll create and supervises personal workout programs. Always at your side, he instructs, corrects, and motivates.

           WHOLE-BODY MANUAL STRETCHING

​Phil was a professional athlete. The five minute stretch doesn't do the trick. He offers a stretching session that can last 25 minutes or 50 minutes. Deep Muscle Stimulation (DMS) is a form of deep tissue massage delivered using an electric massager made of stainless steel and titanium. Its vibrations deeply penetrate muscles to relieve pain caused by strain, lactic acid buildup and scar tissue. The result? Muscle relaxation, pain relief and increased mobility. Also, enjoy the view of the Piazza and Center City while you're stretched!

           DID WE MENTION PHIL? 

Upon graduation from Yale, Phil Clark trained with Olympians, world-record holders, and national champions. This began a 20-year career in sports, health and fitness. Phil has competed at national and international competitions. He has been both a university and private coach, and an author of self-published fitness books. He helped develop the Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans and the 2010 Dietary Guidelines for Americans. His awards vary from athletic footwear to collegiate records.
